What did Spring/Summer create for ORCA Labs?
Spring/Summer designed and developed the new brand identity and digital platform for ORCA Labs, the audiological research arm of WS Audiology (WSA), launched in 2025 on WordPress. We led strategy, structure, design, and development across digital and physical touchpoints.

The ORCA Labs platform runs on WordPress. WordPress was the right fit for ORCA Labs as a research-led publication platform, where the team needs to publish papers, findings, and updates independently while keeping a consistent brand identity across digital and physical touchpoints.

ORCA Labs pioneers advanced hearing solutions through cutting-edge research and technology. The brief was to develop a sophisticated visual identity and a digital experience that reflects the brand's commitment to innovation, precision, and accessibility, while balancing the data-driven trustworthiness of a research unit with the forward-thinking energy of a science brand. Hearing technology is deeply personal, and trust is essential to the proposition.

We grounded ORCA Labs' identity in clarity, professionalism, and innovation. The brand language works across digital and physical touchpoints, from packaging to web interfaces, so the experience is consistent everywhere ORCA shows up. The website is structured as both an informational hub and a gateway to research publications, with intuitive navigation for researchers, partners, and clinicians. Typography and colour communicate precision and approachability in equal measure.
What was the outcome of the ORCA Labs launch?
ORCA Labs launched the new identity and platform in 2025. ORCA Labs is part of WS Audiology, the global hearing-aid company formed by the 2019 merger of Sivantos and Widex, with a combined heritage of over 140 years in hearing technology. The ORCA network includes ORCA US (Chicago, since 2001), ORCA Europe (Stockholm, since 2007), and ORCA Asia (Singapore, opening 2026). The new identity now anchors ORCA Labs as a globally recognised research brand within WSA.
Who is this case relevant for?
