In the Paris studio, the leather goods are designed in a refined and timeless style with a distinctly creative touch. The perceived suppleness and light-weight look of the models is only possible through intricate technical development mastered by the designers.
The leather, sourced exclusively from Spanish and Italian certified tanneries, is sculpted to create organic shapes, folds, draping or weaving.
All production is entrusted to the craftsmen of Ubrique, a Spanish town specialized in luxury leather goods.
In keeping with their promise of quality and creativity, the House unveils a new line of accessories: jewelry. Themed collections exploring nature and its forms of expression, from the undulating movements of the wind to sculpted rock textures. A collection gilded with 24-carat gold and crafted by artisans in Italy.

Impactful First Impressions
Polène not only produces beautiful products, but also fantastic imagery and videos supporting each product and colorway. They travel the world and captures the moods and feelings that they associated with the products. We elevate those assets and start a costumer journey directly from there. Everything is modular taking advantage of the latest versions of Shopify so the editors can alter and compose the pages to fit the purpose, product launches and even seasons.
About the grid & the pdp
We wanted the products to stand out but also be seen together, so we made an orchestrated overview for the product pages with two zoom levels. This showcases the many styles and the colour themes at the same time. It also gives a distinct look to the page.
The PDP is constructed more classically, but with a two layer gallery, 360° visualisation and all the context needed to tell the story about the product.

What did Spring/Summer create for Polène?
Spring/Summer designed and developed Polène's online flagship store, launched in 2023 on Shopify Plus. We led strategy, design, and development for the French leather goods house, building a digital flagship that carries the same craft and restraint as the products themselves.
What technology powers the Polène webshop?
The Polène online flagship runs on Shopify Plus. We chose Shopify Plus because it supports global scale, multi-market trading, and high transaction volumes, while still giving Polène's editors the freedom to compose pages modularly. New collections, colourways, and campaigns can go live without engineering support, which protects merchandising velocity as the House grows.
What was the brief Spring/Summer was given?
Polène was scaling fast and needed a commerce platform that could keep up: international expansion, a growing product line including new categories, and a brand-led customer journey that refused to look like a templated Shopify theme. The brief was to build a digital flagship that performs like one. Editorial enough to honour the brand, structured enough to grow with the business.
What design and strategic decisions shaped the project?
We treated every design call as a commercial decision. The product overview is an orchestrated grid with two zoom levels, designed to drive style discovery and cross-category browsing. The PDP uses a two-layer gallery, 360° visualisation, and full context to build the confidence needed at higher AOV. The entire page system is modular, so the editorial team ships new collections, colourways, and seasonal campaigns without engineering support, protecting merchandising velocity at scale.
What was the outcome of the Polène launch?
Spring/Summer launched Polène's new digital flagship on Shopify Plus in 2023. The same year, Polène more than doubled annual revenue to €137.6 million, with net profit growing 166.9% to €25.7 million as the House expanded internationally and into new product categories including jewelry. The flagship supports this scale: editors campaign without engineering, the product offer can expand without rebuilds, and the brand reads the same in every market.
Who is this case relevant for?
This case is for fashion and lifestyle brands building a Shopify Plus flagship that has to do two jobs at once: carry the brand at the level of a physical flagship, and perform commercially at international scale.
