Translating Trust Into a Digital Experience
Jakobsen Copenhagen needed a digital home that could express both heritage and renewal. The brand carries a long furniture legacy, but the new identity called for a website that felt contemporary, warm, and commercially useful.
The platform was designed to present Jakobsen Copenhagen’s products with clarity and atmosphere, while also giving space to the stories behind them: the craftsmanship, the materials, the production process, and the Copenhagen connection.
· Challenge: Translate a new brand identity into a digital experience that could balance legacy, product storytelling, and international growth.
· Approach: Create a calm, elegant and flexible website built on Sanity, with a structure that supports products, retailers, stories, and future brand expansions.
· Impact: A digital foundation that makes Jakobsen Copenhagen feel established, contemporary, and ready for a wider international audience.

Built on Sanity
To support Jakobsen Copenhagen’s future ambitions, the website was built on Sanity — giving the team a flexible foundation for managing products, stories, retailers, market content, and future expansions.
The content model was structured to make the site easy to grow. New collections, product categories, editorial formats, campaigns, and international content can be added without rethinking the platform.
This makes the website more than a launch project. It is a long-term digital foundation for the brand.

Bringing a new identity to life
The website became the first major expression of Jakobsen Copenhagen’s new visual identity. Every detail was shaped to support the brand’s core idea: Design by Tradition. Copenhagen by Heart.
The experience is quiet but confident. Large imagery, refined typography, soft pacing, and a restrained interface allow the furniture to take focus. The result is a website that feels aligned with the products themselves – considered, comfortable, and built to last.
Rather than treating the identity as a surface layer, we used it as the foundation for the full digital system: navigation, product presentation, editorial storytelling, and the overall rhythm of the site.

Room to breathe
The website gives each product room to breathe. Visitors can move from collection overviews to individual pieces, exploring materials, variants, categories, and visual details in a way that feels both inspirational and practical.
Made to be explored
Jakobsen Copenhagen’s collection spans sofas, lounge chairs, and footstools, with products designed around comfort, craftsmanship, and flexible configurations.
The goal was not only to show furniture, but to help people understand how each piece belongs in real homes – and how the collection reflects a broader tradition of Danish design.

What technology powers the Jakobsen Copenhagen website?
The Jakobsen Copenhagen website is built on Sanity CMS with a custom front-end. Sanity gives the team a flexible way to manage products, stories, materials, retailers, and future content, while the bespoke front-end ensures the site feels elegant, calm, and tailored to the brand’s visual identity.
What was the brief Spring/Summer was given?
The brief was to create a website that could express Jakobsen Copenhagen’s long legacy while introducing a renewed brand identity. The site needed to present the products clearly, communicate how they are made, and connect the brand to Copenhagen, Danish design tradition, and an international furniture audience.
What design and strategic decisions shaped the project?
We designed the website around heritage, craftsmanship, and quiet confidence. Spacious layouts, considered typography, refined product presentation, and atmospheric storytelling help the collection feel both contemporary and rooted in tradition.
