Information

Curin.io is a subscription-based inspiration platform celebrating creativity across art, architecture, interior design, photography, film, and advertising. It exists in response to algorithm-driven feeds and fleeting trends, offering instead carefully curated content chosen by rotating groups of inspiring creatives every other week. The platform is ad-free and intentionally slow-paced, focused on meaningful discovery rather than distraction.

· Challenge: Launch an ad-free, curator-driven platform for creative inspiration that stands in deliberate opposition to algorithmic overwhelm.

· Approach: Build a clean, editorial-first digital identity and branded experience that honors pace, intention, and creative community.

· Impact: A refined platform that feels purposeful and elevated, one where creativity is discovered, celebrated, and supported.

Curated Inspiration

Curin is more than a feed, it is a curated gallery of creative voices. With figures like Simon Ladefoged (Founder) and Bjarke Ingels (Curator & Partner) guiding the creative direction, the platform rejects the mindless scroll and redirects attention toward works that move the soul. Spring/Summer’s design supports this ethos with editorial pace, thoughtful permissioning, and a quiet confidence that puts the work in the spotlight.

Tree of life

The CURIN Fund

A powerful extension of Curin’s mission, 20% of all profits go to the CURIN Fund, distributed twice a year to empower emerging creatives across disciplines. This commitment speaks to Curin’s broader goal, to do more than share, it supports and elevates new voices. Spring/Summer integrated this narrative into the platform’s structure and messaging, making generosity as visible as the visuals themselves.

Simon Ladefoged, Founder CURIN

"I approached Spring/Summer with a fairly clear vision and some rough sketches for a new curated content platform. Throughout the entire process of building and designing, I’ve only experienced being truly heard, met with positive energy, and a genuine drive to create something remarkable. The first part of our collaboration has now resulted in curin.io - and the outcome has exceeded my expectations, turning out far more sophisticated and refined than I had imagined. I’m excited to see the platform grow and to continue expanding its possibilities together with Spring/Summer."

What did Spring/Summer create for CURIN?

Spring/Summer designed and developed CURIN's brand identity and digital platform, launched in 2025 on Sanity CMS. We led strategy, structure, and design for the subscription-based creative-inspiration platform founded by Simon Ladefoged, with Bjarke Ingels as curator and partner.

What technology powers the CURIN platform?

The CURIN platform runs on Sanity CMS. Sanity supports the bi-weekly curator handovers at the heart of CURIN, where a new group of creatives shapes the platform every other week. The headless structure lets editorial pace, permissions, and visual content move freely without compromising the platform's quiet, considered character.

What was the brief Spring/Summer was given?

CURIN was conceived as a counter-position to algorithm-driven feeds and fleeting trends: an ad-free, subscription-based platform where rotating groups of creatives curate inspiration across art, architecture, interior design, photography, film, and advertising. The brief was to build a digital identity and platform that honours pace, intention, and creative community, rather than scroll, novelty, and noise.

What design and strategic decisions shaped the project?

We designed CURIN around editorial pace. The platform supports bi-weekly curator handovers, with thoughtful permissioning and a quiet visual language that puts the work in the spotlight rather than the interface. The brand identity is understated and timeless, so creators and their work always remain in focus. A restrained visual language re-centres proportion, narration, and atmosphere over noise, mirroring CURIN's slow-cultural mission.

What was the outcome of the CURIN launch?

CURIN launched in 2025 as a refined, purpose-driven platform built around intentional discovery. 20% of all CURIN profits go to the CURIN Fund, distributed twice a year to support emerging creatives across disciplines. In the words of founder Simon Ladefoged, the outcome turned out far more sophisticated and refined than he had imagined. The platform's curators include Bjarke Ingels, and the structure is built to grow with future curatorial chapters.

Who is this case relevant for?

This case is for purpose-led platforms, cultural ventures, and subscription products where the digital identity is the brand. We work with founders building things that are deliberately slow, considered, and against the prevailing logic of attention. If you are launching a platform that needs to feel like a quiet room rather than a busy feed, this is the work we love.
