Branding of the hotel. Brand identity, Signage, Menus, Stationary & Website. Year 2018
Information
Coco is not your average hotel in Copenhagen. Sure, it’s a place to stay away from home, but it is also a place to unwind, a place to meet with friends, a place to meet new people and a place to be inspired.
In 2022 travel magazine Travel+Leisure named Coco the best hotel in Copenhagen.

A kiss from Coco
Coco Hotel is a 4* sustainable boutique hotel created by Cofoco.
The hotel is best described as a small Parisian style hotel curated with a Danish sense of space and time. The interior is a bespoke mix between the modern and classic, vintage and new. Coco is designed to make you want to stay and never leave.
We gave Coco a feminine touch and a french kiss inspired by the French bistros from the Riviera.

The Website
Translating the feeling of the hotel to a website was a breeze. We did not try to create the most user friendly experience, but rather a feeling being in a homely and friendly place with art on the wall, plants in the corners and a lot of colors.
Build on Craft CMS and with a soft integration to their booking system.

Sille Dallmann, Head of PR & Communications
“Spring/Summer has been an invaluable partner across our digital presence - from website design to identity development of our restaurants, as well as ongoing support during almost a decade. For our hotels Bella Grande and Coco, they helped translate our brand identity beautifully into each site, creating experiences that feel both distinct and part of the same family. Throughout the process, they’ve been collaborative, insightful and always accommodating. We highly value the digital foundation they have helped us build, which truly reflects who we are as an organisation."

What did Spring/Summer create for Nationalmuseet?
Spring/Summer designed the Coco Hotel brand identity and digital platform, launched in 2018 on Craft CMS. We led brand, strategy, design, and development for the sustainable Parisian-style boutique hotel by Cofoco, from signage and menus to stationery and website, with a soft integration into the hotel's booking system.
What technology powers the Coco Hotel site?
The Coco Hotel site runs on Craft CMS with a soft integration into the hotel's booking system, on the same Cofoco family platform. Craft gives the team editorial flexibility across content and campaigns, while keeping the visual identity coherent with the wider Cofoco world of restaurants and hotels.
What was the brief Spring/Summer was given?
Coco is a 4-star sustainable boutique hotel by Cofoco, in central Copenhagen. The brief was a full brand identity and a digital home that reflect the hotel's Parisian charm curated with a Danish sense of space, and carry that atmosphere from signage on the street through to the last click before booking.
What design and strategic decisions shaped the project?
We built the identity around a feminine touch and a "french kiss" inspired by French bistros of the Riviera. The website is deliberately atmosphere-first, prioritising plants, art, colour, and warmth over strict usability, so the digital experience feels like Coco rather than a generic hotel site. The identity carries through signage, menus, stationery, and web, so every touchpoint feels part of the same house.
What was the outcome of the Coco Hotel launch?
Coco Hotel became a distinctive presence in Copenhagen's boutique hotel scene, and in 2022 was named Best Hotel in Copenhagen by Travel+Leisure. The identity and digital home have carried the hotel through many years of trading, and set the visual and editorial tone that later shaped Cofoco's newer hospitality properties, including Hotel Bella Grande. It is one of our longest-running Cofoco family collaborations.
Who is this case relevant for?
This case is for boutique hotels, hospitality groups, and lifestyle brands where the atmosphere is the product, and where identity, signage, and digital have to feel like one house rather than three suppliers. We work with hospitality clients on the long game. If you are launching or refreshing a boutique hotel, this is the work we love.
