Restaurant Cofoco

The first Cofoco restaurant got a new identity

Where it all started

In Abel Cathrines Gade in Vesterbro, Copenhagen the first Cofoco restaurant got born in 2004. It was a very important part in revolutionising the Danish restaurant scene and form what we have today where Copenhagen is on the very forefront of things. We were lucky enough to be invited to create a new identity for the restaurant and capture the essence of the place. We used the facade of the building to create the icon, which tells a story about the heritage and their position in the neighbourhood.

Colors & Typography

We took inspiration from the interior and the surroundings of the restaurant in selecting a colour palette. Varm lights, woods and lots of plants guided us into the dark green and mustard yellow. For fonts we have a set of three - all sans serif and each with a specific purpose.

Mood

At the restaurant everything is geared towards maximum hygge. It had community tables and more intimate settings. There is a nice private room for parties, and you feel warm and welcome.

Each restaurant has a page with unique branding and content making it into a stand alone destination, but they are connected and Cofoco can push other restaurants if the one you are looking at is fully booked. This particular site is kept in the darker tones to set the mood of the restaurant. Hygge...
