For years, the digital communication going out from Roskilde Festival was mainly focused on the more than 100,000 festival goers descending on Roskilde each summer. The group behind Roskilde Festival needed a place to tell their story in a broader perspective and talk about all the cultural and humanitarian work they support. Being an organisation that draws a lot of public interest and scrutiny, it was also really important for Roskilde Festival Group to appear honest, straight-forward and open. They needed to make complex subjects like their org structure easy to understand - all in a user-friendly digital setting and with the good values and vibes that people know Roskilde Festival for.

We created a platform that can power multiple websites for the group’s different types of activities and communication needs. With a user-friendly navigation system and a set of flexible modules, editors can build dynamic page layouts with clear content hierarchies and impactful imagery.

For the main organisation website we defined a colour scheme and image style closely related to the festival’s core feeling. The goal was to create immediate brand connection and recognition in a very diverse target group spanning students, journalists, lawmakers and many others.

The group’s RFX sub-brand is a business entity that delivers professional services to organizers of other big events. To serve this target group we created the RF Experience website with a cooler colour scheme and more visible calls to action.
