An Always On Experience

F.C. Copenhagen’s website is for casual and die hard fans

Football for breakfast, lunch and dinner

Getting to know the DNA of the fans and the team was a big focus when we set out to redesign F.C. Copenhagen’s website in 2012. The fans are part of a community which can include anyone, anywhere and at the same time, is very local; it’s a way of life. Their week revolves around the matches. In the days leading up to the matches news is more important than anything else. We wanted to create a site that would live up to that.

A week with F.C. Copenhagen

Working closely with the club’s digital team and a group of core fans, we set out to build an ultra dynamic news website that looks different every day and every minute, while still capturing the essence of F.C. Copenhagen culture. Stories are collected around fixtures so fans can get the lowdown on the next upcoming match or the one that was just played. We introduced a special LIVE MODE that takes over the home page when a match is on, showing videos and live updates along with fans' tweets and instagrams. The site launched in spring 2013, the year F.C. Copenhagen took home their 10th Danish league championship.
